I am feeling rather excited as I have just signed up to Birchbox. Birchbox was co founded by Hayley Barna and Katia Beauchamp who met at Harvard business school. They created Birchbox to help consumers cut through the clutter of the retail world to find products that really work for them.
Birchbox is based in New York and launched in September 2010, Birchbox has since been acquired by Joliebox. To date Birchbox has shipped over 5,000,000 Birchboxes globally and currently over 400,000 people subscribe.
How does Birchbox work?
Every month Birchbox is delivered straight to your door containing 5 samples of luxe beauty treats. You may find inside your box a mix of high end, exclusive and cult make up, skincare, fragrance and haircare. As you sign up you are asked to fill out a questionnaire so that each box can be tailored to you as much as possible. You can also earn Birchbox credits to use in the Birchbox shop by reviewing the products you receive.
You can subscribe to Birchbox for £10 per month plus £2.95pp, so that’s a total of £12.95 per month.
The great thing about Birchbox is that you can unsubscribe at any time and you can also buy subscriptions of 3, 6 and 12 months for your friends and family.
I am looking forward to receiving my first box and reviewing for everyone to see.
